The Golden Thread Ring

Ideas often come when I'm working at my bench. This one was first intended to be one band of gold with a silver wrap over the top, randomly worked in to place. It was not until I added the gold bar to it that it came to life. When I started to work these pieces I labelled them The Golden Thread as it reminded me of a piece of prose that was about life being a mess, but to recognise how beautiful it is. The gold signifies the beauty of life, the part to try to stay focused on so as not to be distracted by the random mess that you can't control going on around you.

Inspiration

“Inspiration comes from everywhere, it is a mix of reading, studying techniques, pouring over collections held in museums, observing
nature, news, a study of symbolism, getting jewellery ideas down on paper, playing at my bench... and if it’s a bespoke project, combining the creative essence of your
client with your own. It is about making the sub-conscious, conscious and at its best can have the most ecstatic repercussions
when you finish your vision and you see the your clients face light up..."
